Question: What is prayer and how does it work?

Answer: We said that every thought, every emotion, and every word (because words are expressing thoughts and emotions) we are creating elementals (thought forms). This elemental definitely has a form whether we can see it or not. This form has a life of its own. Every elemental is living. And this elemental has the intelligence of its creator of the one who projected it. Now, what can be a prayer? Definitely every prayer will express the thoughts, the emotions, and the desires of the creator. Prayer to whom now? Christians to Christ, if they are Roman Catholics and orthodox, the eastern people even to the Holy Mother, the Virgin Mary. Muslims will prayer to Allah, an impersonal god or to a prophet. The Hindu will pray to their deities, Krishna and others.

Now what is a prayer? Every prayer creates an elemental, usually having the form of the deity or the person directed to, to a saint, to Christ as they imagined him from paintings and all that. And it has its own intelligence and quality. Now we must see how these prayers are working. Who is Christ now? Or Krishna, or the Virgin Mary? Or the different saints? Definitely we know that the death of the material body is not the annihilation of the personality living in that body. And we know that persons passing over to the other side are carrying with them the sum total of their elementals; they had them already while living in the material body. With these elementals they built their hell or their paradise. No one will find himself in any hell or in any paradise after passing over in which he is not already in now.

Our life on the planet now as a present day personality which is the sum total of these elementals. So, prayers are a certain class of elementals. Now, the prayers, definitely a man when praying will have in his mind the image as he understands it of the deity or person he is praying to. Now, we said that elementals when created go out and return to the fellow who has sent it. Christ is mentioning that in the New Testament. So, where are those elementals directed? Straight to Jesus Christ, definitely to Christ. Praying to the Virgin Mary, directly to the Virgin Mary. But where is the Virgin Mary and where are the saints? Do they exist now? Of course they do. Because the passing over, leaving behind of the material body is not the annihilation of the personality which became saintly.

QUESTION: How is an elemental created?

ANSWER: Even Joshua Emmanuel the Christ described the way talking about what he called the evil spirits (thoughts). At the beginning a thought form is not created bigger that the head of a pin at the root of the nose of our etheric body. We can see it (visualize it). Then, it comes out getting its natural size (even of a very big building if we desire having one of that). In order to exist, obeying the general law in the world of separateness, an elemental has to have a form. It gets a form, either the form we are giving it with our desires (for a jewel or something) or it gets its form according to its nature. Definitely, an elemental has to have a form! So, we are creating thought forms, elementals, every moment.

Joshua Emmanuel talked about how they project themselves. They don't find rest in any other state, so they return back to the man, "Let us go back home". They bring another seven, more wicked than themselves, entering through the seven gates, the seven as the Hindus call them chakras, the seven churches according to the Apocalypse. They enter and get possession of the personality and of the body of a human being, a man or a woman, who created them.

QUESTION: What is consciousness?

ANSWER We can study what human intelligence is expressing (what you call human consciousness). Yet, is that all? Is that what we call the waking consciousness which is the privilege of every human being living on the planet (which for me is a kind of subconsciousness)? The waking consciousness is not what we call the self-consciousness. What is this thing we call consciousness? This is what a Seeker after the Truth tries to find out - to know it, assimilate it, and feel it part of himself to express it. You have consciousness in various degrees of expression. We have mentioned certain kinds of consciousness. The instinctive consciousness, the subconsciousness, the waking consciousness. Studying the human nature let us call that one the self-consciousness, but - that is not all. Our real Self-consciousness is the Soul-Ego consciousness and further on, our Spirit Self-consciousness.

QUESTION: What's God?

ANSWER: Of course, millions and millions of years ago the cavemen, out of necessity and fear of the nature around them, have thought of the existence of a superior being to protect them. How was that feeling created in a human being? Why don't such thoughts exist in the animal world?

So, we see man, the caveman, living in very, very difficult conditions. The light of the Sun was not reaching the planet sufficiently due to heavy rings of water and dust. There was very little difference between day and night. The light they had at that time was from the volcanoes and from the fire all around them. We find the human beings in caves. Around them, on the planet known at that time, were huge serpentine animals, some herbivorous and some carnivorous, and we see this animal life just clashing amongst each other to survive. Many, many, many kinds have vanished. They belong to history and we find traces of their bones in the rocks now. Of course, if we can raise our self-consciousness to Self-Superconsciousness we may see everything that happened (in the Cosmic Memory).

We may see the animal life expressing a kind of instinct just to survive. Where are they now? Instinct? What is the instinct? The human being was living in no different circumstances than the other animals, and even had less to defend himself. He had to use just a heavy club. Where is he now? Big cities. The whole planet is under his orders. He lives in such comfort, electricity and what not, television and so many other things now. How did he succeed to have all that? The animals which had lived at that time and are living even now, the elephants, the lions, the tigers, the bulls, cows, camels, are still as they were at that time. Can they read and write? Did they invent anything?

Then what is the difference between a human being and the animal life? What are the animals and what is a human being? A human being is a thinking entity, which means - using the Mind in its own way. Now, the vegetable life uses the Mind in sensitivity, the animal life are using the Mind in instinct. The human bodies have sensitivity and instinct also - the human body. But, what does a human body have more than the animal bodies?

QUESTION: What is the Resurrection?

ANSWER: The Resurrection - a word which has been so much
misunderstood. The waking up to what we are - that's the Resurrection!
The Resurrection does not mean our material body to die and to be
recomposed so that we may enter again into that dirty sack we call -
material body! That isn't Resurrection. Though many things that the word
Resurrection means - the material body to be resurrected - no!
Resurrection means to wake up into your own state and nature! That is the
Resurrection - and He said "I am the Life and Resurrection, and he who
believes in me will have everlasting life". DASKALOS

Question: I infer then that you feel uncomfortable with Systems which require meditation periods of several hours a day, and retreats that span months, even years.

Answer: Again such a thing might be appropriate in certain traditions, but we, as Christians, believe in service - not withdrawing from our fellow humans who may need our help. We stress engagement in the world, but not enslavement to it. For as Joshua said, You "are not of the world, even as I am not of the world" (John 17:16).

Question: What is an appropriate measure of meditation?

Answer: Let me put it this way. Say you have a seedling. You expose it to the sun, good soil and each day give it a   little water. It will grow in its course. But if you decide to put it in the hot midday sun, or water it to the point of            drowning its roots, it will surely shrivel up and die. By exercising too much there is a danger in over-meditating,       creating an extreme division between the periods of meditation and your normal waking state. We only encourage        periods of fifteen minutes or so, two or three times a day.

I have seen many, too many, who have severely damaged their nervous systems through excessive meditation. We are in the world and must, dialectically, work with it.

Exercise and meditation at higher levels mean exploring, attuning to, and eventually becoming unified (at-one-ment) with the Causes, Principles, Ideas, and Laws. Each Circle of  Possibility works according to the Divine forces of Total   Love, Power and Wisdom. These most perfect forces of life are within our archangelic human form. Ecstasy, real ecstasy, is aligning ourselves with the Divine.
